JOHN RITTER IN LEAVE YESTERDAY BEHIND DVD

Back in the 1970's TV movies were good. By today's TV-Movie standards there great. TV movies today are a joke. Today the TV movies seem to be based on true story's. It doesn't matter if the movie is on HBO or Lifetime. Most of them are very forgettable. However in the 1970's we were shown great movies! Today one of them is still worth watching its form 1978 and its called "Leave Yesterday Behind"

Yes it has the TV movie formula "Love Conquers All" however the movie is well worth watching.

John Ritter and Carrie Fisher shine in this. The co-stars are just as good. Ed Nelson and Robert Urich give standout performances.

The story is very sweet. A college polo players becomes hurt at an event. He is now in wheelchair. His girlfriend dumps him and now he is living on the farm with grandpa when he meets Carrie Fisher. Well worth watching. $9 FOR UNITED STATES

E-mail me if you want this on DVD .

SUNSET BLVD PATTI LUPONE VS GLENN CLOSE RARE FOOTAGE HERE

There is a great Entertainment Tonight Segment about the musical Sunset Blvd. This is when news got out that Patti Lupone was not going to star in the New York Production and was being replaced by Glenn Close. Here is a link here

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=62YH3nqD5LU

Now I am a huge Patti Lupone fan. What Andrew did to her was beyond cruel. Then he went on to fire Faye Dunaway. Andrew if your reading this shame on you!!

Actress in your shows WORK THERE ASSES OFF. They all carry your shows and rise above some of your lesser known songs! This happens in all of your shows & productions.

Also Actors need to be assured that they are doing great. You never give actress your complete trust. This is maybe why well known A-LIST Talent no longer want to be in your new shows.

Word is out that your not so nice...

AN OPEN LETTER TO Randal Kleiser

Hello I know you have read my blog once so maybe I will get lucky and you will see this.

Dear Mr Randal Kleiser:

I am a huge fan of your work. I love the movie "Grease" & "Its My Party". If you read previous post in here you will see that I am a huge fan of musicals. In fact I would love to see the shows "Miss Saigon" and "Sunset Blvd" made into major movies.

So this got me to think which movie would I like to see first? Well that would have to be "Sunset Blvd". Its a lower risk for the studios. Its well known. Its also a remake and the studios love remakes.

The reason I think you Mr Randal Kleiser would make the perfect director for that project is because you have been a part of Hollywood for years! You know the ups & downs. You know how to direct a musical on film. You also are great with Drama. I think your "Boy in the Plastic Bubble" is one of the best TV movies ever.

SO come on Mr Kleiser. Paramount owes you big time. You made one of their biggest hits that continues to make them millions each year! "Sunset Blvd" is the perfect movie for your "Return". Since Paramount owns "Grease" and "Sunset" its meant to be that you should be the director! So call your agent and set up a meeting with David Geffen. He is a musical fan. I bet he would love to be involved.

SUNSET BLVD THE MUSICAL REMAKE WHEN WILL WE SEE IT?

Sunset Blvd was a great movie. In fact its one of the best movies ever made. The Broadway Musical adaption was also great. Now I think Patti Lupone got fucked over. She was fired from the London Production after it got mixed reviews. The play was re-worked by the time it hit Los Angeles a few months after it opened on Londons West End. By the time The Los Angeles Production opened the show was re-worked & that production got rave reviews. Glenn Close was the star and lets face she did do a great job however PAtti Lupone was never given a chance to do the re-worked play. Andrew Lloyd Webber fired her. Also ALW fired Faye Dunaway before she even hit the stage. Anyway back to the movie.

Now we waited for 25 years for "Dreamgirls" to be made so I hope it doesn't take that long to see Sunset Blvd. Now I think the studio doesn't want to make it because 14 yera old biys would never watch. Well not the straight ones.

The movie should be made. However will it? Who will star? Glenn Close (she was great and she won the Tony) Barbra Streisand (She would sell CDS) Meryl Streep? ( She would be nominated that's for sure) .

However I think Patti Lupone should play the role. She is a great star. The role demands a great voice and Patti has a great voice. Don't get me wrong I love Barbra but she is too old. Patti Lupone was perfect before she is perfect now.

So if a movie gets made how will they do it? Will it be faithful to the Movie or to the stage production?

If there stuck on how to adapt the play back into a movie they should call me! I know how I would approach the material but unless they "pay me" my mouth is shut.
