FIRST INDIANA JONES NOW MAYBE ALIENS 5 OR ALIEN 5

FIRST INDIANA JONES NOW MAYBE ALIENS 5 OR ALIEN 5

Well it was 19 years between the last 2 Indiana Jones movies. Many people thought the newest episode was 15 years to late. Lots of people thought any audience for this movie would more likely catch the movie on DVD. Well they didn't! Indiana Jones is a huge hit.

So lets hope FOX will be mulling over another Alien movie. The last movie was released in 1997. It wasn't a huge hit but it did okay at the Box office. It has however developed a huge following over the last 10 years!

I hope that Indiana Jones success will be the ticket to get Alien 5 made.

30 DAYS GAY ADOPTION EPISODE I think it was great

30 DAYS GAY ADOPTION EPISODE

GLADD is angry because what this homophobic gay bashing lady in this episode says things that go unchallenged. She thinks gay men & women should not be able to adopt. She thinks gays are going to molest their adoptive children or gay parents will make their children gay.

Well her views go unchallenged is good because it shows her ignorance & how closed minded she is. She is the devil. The show does not have tell you this. Her views are unfounded. She has zero facts to back up her beliefs.

The woman is crazy ignorant, closed minded, and most of all a Christian. The show didn't need tell you this. Its there in front of view.

I think its important that the show did what it did. Hate is family value that all religions share.

Hate is alive and well and its going on in your neighborhood church!

How President George W Bush Feels about the Average American Family

How President George W Bush Feels about the Average American Family

Judy Davis the Best Actress Around

AS much as Hollywood hates giving great parts to women of 30 they should consider that not all the parts of depth should go to Meryl Streep.

I think the Judy Davis is know 2nd rate Meryl Streep. Judy Davis has made a variety of movies. She gave standout performances in "Me & My Shadows Life with Judy Garland", "The Reagan's", "The Stater Wife" & her comedic performance is brilliant in "The Ref".

Next time your looking for something to rent on DVD please look for anything Judy Davis is in. Her acting alone is worth watching anything she is in!

RICHARD CARPENTER & KAREN CARPENTER WERE THEY GAY

I am not stating this to make people mad. I am a huge Carpenter's fan. There also nothing wrong with being gay. I am however convinced that both Richard and Karen were gay. Richard "Took after his mother" loved the piano and was "very close too her".

Karen was known as being a "TOMBOY". She was also killer on the drums. Her mom forced her to play instruments that were more "suitable for a lady". Karen also had a negative body image which of course caused her to die from anorexia.

I think Richard knew he was gay. I think Karen didn't know she was gay. Both of them suffered from some sort of addiction.

Now I come from a family were gay siblings are common.  My Aunt her Two Sons are gay.   My Mother has two gay children.  Another Aunt has  bi-sexual children.

Shelley Long Give her a job Hollywood

To me "Cheers" was never the same without Shelley Long. For some reason I could always relate to the Diane Character. I watched "Cheers" here and there after Shelley left.

There have been millions of stories why she left "Cheers". God only knows exactly why she left the show.

I think Shelley Long was one of the best comedic actress . However she gave one hell of a performance in the 1984 movie "Irreconcilable Differences ". A drama about why a child wants to divorce her parents. The movie is gem. Shelley got great reviews! Sadly the movie wasn't a hit but its still a gem!

If you want to see her in great comedy rent "Outrageous Fortune". This comedy I watch 2-3 times year!

Judy Garland A Star is Born or Re-Born Again Coming Soon

I love the movie "A Star is Born". The DVD release was good but not great. Now the picture I thought looked great however Warner Brothers is now working yet again on restoring the movie. This time in Ultra Something or another. That's fine. When the movie was released in 1954 it was edited by 30 minutes. Years later Warner Brothers released a "Restored Version". This was a huge deal. The sad thing was that all the deleted footage was never all found. About 6 minutes of footage was replaced in a very unique way

However stills from scenes that were deleted were Incorporated into the "New Version". This worked great. Now that was in 1983. Now 25 years later the movie is being restored for the 2nd time since 1983. Warner Brothers I think is very smart in restoring this movie however I think they should go back into their vaults and see if they might be able to find that footage.

I read a book on the restoring of the movie and tracking down the footage. It was a great read. I think however the missing footage is still out there and one day may surface. On the upcoming DVD release Warner Brothers has not stated if anymore footage has been found but that also doesn't mean nothing has been found.

For some reason I have the feeling that someone in their house under their bed has a box of the cut scenes. I am sure an editor from Warner Brothers took that footage home. If you have the footage please just send it to Warner Brothers. Give a fake address. You can share your gift with the world. Besides you can be part of film history.

HEY HOLLYWOOD REUNITE ALI MACGRAW & Ryan O'Neal

Okay I know there might not be a huge audience for a re-teaming of Ryan & Ali. However I still think I would reunite the pair on an episode of "Desperate Housewives" as the parents of Tom Scavo. Ryan has played the father so why not get Ali to play his mother?

Did the Church of Scientology Run Diana Canova Out of Town

The following article is from wikipedia. What I find so funny is that it seems the COS ran her out of town. I always wandered what happened to MS Canova.

Diana Canova (born Diana Rivero on June 1, 1953 in West Palm Beach, Florida) is an American actress. Her professional last name is taken from the maiden name of her mother, actress and singer Judy Canova. She is a graduate of Hollywood High School.
Her most famous role was that of nymphomaniac Corinne Tate on Soap, a sitcom that parodied soap operas, between 1977 and 1980.
In 1980, ABC executives offered Canova her own television series, starring alongside Danny Thomas in I'm a Big Girl Now. The show lasted just one season.
Canova's acting career entered a slump for many years before she was cast as Sandy Beatty in Throb!, a successful sitcom which was broadcast in syndication from 1986 to 1988. She played "Jenny" in Stephen Sondheim's Broadway musical revival of Company in 1995.
Canova spent a number of years as a member of the Church of Scientology, an organization she later began to criticize. She found the Scientologists straightforward in their desire for money, declaring in 1993 in a Premier magazine interview, "The first time I walked in those doors, they said, 'Just give us all the money in your bank account.'" She also criticized the Church's counseling practice called auditing, when she said "They're telling you, 'Don't spend $100 an hour on a shrink's couch, it'll ruin your mind.' Auditing is so much better?" [1]
For the most part, Canova has retired from acting and is living in Connecticut. Her last role was in the 1998 movie One True Thing.
She wrote two plays based on Grimm brothers tales. They're entitled, A Knighttime Musical and Seven Angry Little Men.

Kay Lenz Actress who is Missing in Action

Kay Lenz is a very good actress. She might be better known as being married to David Cassidy then for any of her acting work.

One thing for sure is she was very good. She did hold her own in the comedy "The Great Scout and Cat house Thursday". She held her own in movie own with Lee Marvin & Oliver Reed. The movie wasn't the best but it did provide the audience a good laugh.

Hollywood Cast Kay Lenz in something!

Hey Give Karen Valentine of Room 222 A Job

I grew up in the 1970's. I was a fan of "Room 222". For a short time Karen Valentine was the Darling of ABC. Hollywood needs to cast this lady again in a show. I would love to see this lady again in SOMETHING!

LILY TOMLIN & BETTE MIDLER BIG BUSINESS ** out of ****

In reality the movie should of been better. I can not fault the actress involved here. However I do fault the director and editor from cutting away from visual jokes that if you blinked you missed them.

The story is about 2 sets of mixed up twins. In one weekend they all end up in the same hotel. The biggest thing missing out of the whole movie is that huge revelation seen were they discover that of my god "You & I must be sisters". What we do get is a scene where they all end up in the bathroom and the scene doesn't work that well. If the movie was being made today I am sure that scene would of been re shot. However the movie was shot in 1987 and Disney was not into spending millions of dollars on re shoots at that time.

I think this movie is a good remake candidate. Today I would cast Jane Lynch & Jenifer Coolidge as the sisters. They were so great together in the comedy "Best in Show"

Jane Lynch SHould of played Agent 99 in the Get Smart Movie

The whole time I saw Anne Hathaway I kept thinking over & over again was they should of hired "Jane Lynch" to play Agent 99. Jane Lynch might not be a name you know however she has one of those faces you recognize.

She is best known for being in the movies "The 40-year Old Virgin" & "Talladega Nights". If you have seen those movies you would know that her services were needed in "Get Smart".

GET SMART ** out of **** Stars REVIEW BY STAN HECK

I have only watched a few episodes of the TV Show "Get Smart". I went into the movie of "Get Smart" without any preconceived notions. Well I will say after leaving the movie I could only think one think. "MISCASTING". I think the studio only cast Anne Hathaway to get girls to see this movie. Anne just does a good job but not great. She however has no chemistry with her leading man which of course is Steve Carell.

The story is minimal at best. The plot twist you can see coming. The laughs are there but in general the movie is not worth remembering. I just left the movie only a few hours ago and I am having a hard time remembering most of the movie.

I would also like to point out that this movie seems to have allot of things cut out. Also If you pay close attention you can tell some scenes in the movie were changed around.

I am sure Warner Brothers was hoping this would become another Franchise however if they do order up a sequel I would recast Anne Hathaway.

Wall-E and Johnny 5 From Short Circuit Look a Like

Could Pixar be facing a lawsuit soon. I have the feeling that they will. You see the 1986 Tri-Star movie called "Short Circuit" has something in common with the 2008 movie "Wall-E". You see the robots look almost the same!

Even though "Wall-E" is cute he is still no "Johnny 5" from Short Circuit.

The top photo is from "Short Circuit" The bottom is "Wall-E"

Save a life a be a hero adopt a cat

I have 6 cats. It just happened. However how many do you have. I bet chances are you have room in your life for one or even , one more. I beg all of you to go to an animal shelter and save a cat. My cats ( & 2 dogs) keep me active however the 6 cats are not that much work. I enjoy them.

Now all of my cats were saved from City Pounds. I look at them everyday and I get sad to think that there were all doomed if I didn't get them!

Being a guardian to cat is well worth it. If you never had a cat before please get one. You will see what I am talking about. Cats are not that much work and trust me when you save a cat from the pound the cat does somehow know and they become very loyal to you!

THE SMALL ONE DISNEY CHRISTMAS CLASSIC ON DVD

Christmas is around the corner. If I were you I would buy right now a DVD of he classic cartoon made by Disney called "The Small One". Its a very good Christmas Time Cartoon! Its not available by itself however its on a DISNEY CHRISTMAS THEME DVD along with a few more Disney Cartoons. The Official Name of the Disney DVD is Called "Walt Disney's Classic Cartoon Favorites, Vol. 9 - Classic Holiday Stories (The Small One/Pluto's Christmas Tree/Mickey's Christmas Carol)". An Image of The DVD is provided!

The reason why I am saying buy it now is because the DVD is rumored to be going out of print. Right Now you can get the DVD on Amazon New at $10.00. A Rumored 30th Anniversary Edition is rumored to be released this year as a stand alone edition at $19.95. Now a stand alone means you would only get this Cartoon on the DVD. So buy now and save $10.00. Save even more if you buy a used one! "The Small One" is a story you will never forget! Its well worth buying.

When is the Musical Remake of Sunset Blvd Coming

With Patti Lupone winning the Tony Award the other night it got me to think of "Sunset Blvd". The musical version of the 1950 Billy Wilder film. Its been rumored that "Meryl Streep" , "Glenn Close" and yes Barbra Streisand are all circling the movie hoping to get the plume role. It also been rumored the "Cher" "Bette Middler" & Liza Minnelli" are in the running as well.

Well I still think Patti Lupone should play the role. She can sing. Its a musical after all and not a drama. I know that Patti was fired from playing Norma Desmond. However she was never given a chance to do the revised book.

I think she is amazing and Andrew Lloyd Webber doesn't cast her in the movie then he should do a revival of the play and let her do the role on Broadway. If he did that would make headlines and sell tickets. And yes Patti would win another Tony!

Now there a chance for Ghostbusters 3 III

Last year 20th. Century fox released a sequel to the 1988 motion picture "Die Hard". This was Lots of people including thought it would bomb because it was released 12 years after the last "Die Hard Movie" In fact the last movie in the franchise was released in 1995.

Now this year Paramount released "Indiana Jones 4". This was 19 years after the last one was made. In fact "Indiana Jones 4" looks likely to be the highest grossing movie of the Summer.

Also worth noting the George Lucas released "Star Wars- The Phantom Menace" 16 years after he made "Return of the Jedi". Now In all 3 cases the movies went on to be Box Office Blockbusters.

This brings into question about other possible movies Hollywood can make sequels too. Even though it may have been 10 years or more since the last movie of a franchise was made.

Paramount could be or should be thinking about sequels to: "Grease", "Saturday Night Fever","The Hunt For Red October", "Beverly Hills Cop" "The Godfather".

20th Century Fox could be or should be thinking about sequels to: "Independence Day" "Alien","Big", "The X Files", "Predator" "Home Alone"

Universal Studios: could be or should be thinking about sequels to: "Jurassic Park", "Jaws", "Back to the Future",

Warner Brothers could be or should be thinking about sequels to: "The Goonies", "Gremlins"

Disney could be or should be thinking about sequels to: "Pretty Woman" "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" "Ransom" "Scream"

AND Columbia is most likely trying to revive "Ghostbusters".

All these movies do have a loyal fan base. The old saying of "after 3 years its too late for a sequel " no longer applies. SO I am sure the studios are already thinking about some these movie sequels. So You can blame "Indiana Jones" or thank him. That's up to you!

George Carlin Will be missed

George Carlin was the best comedian out there. Both George Carlin & Rodney Dangerfield were in a class to themselves. It should also be noted that both George Carlin & Rodney were under appreciated as actors. Both of them stole scenes in every movie they were in. George Carlin stole the show in "Outrageous Fortune" & "The Prince of Tides". Sadly Rodney was overlooked by the Academy for his scary performance in "Natural Born Killers".

In the years to come George Carlin will be the standard on which comedians are measured by.

Sex and the City or Sex and the Sequel

Sex and the City or Sex and the Sequel.

The "Sex and The City" movie has proven to be a huge hit. Not just in the United States but Worldwide. A Sequel is not out of the question but just when that movie will get made is any body's guess. My one wish for the Sequel is that it comes out around "Christmas" or "Valentines Day". "Sex and the City" was always at its core was romance. Too see the next movie take place over Valentines day or Christmas would be just the correct setting!

Coming Out Stories by Stan Heck

I came out to my family in 19--. It was very hard. Watching the TV show "Coming Out Stories" made me remember how hard it was to come out! Watching the show I remember all to well the fear and panic of the coming out process! These were feelings that I haven't felt in years. Now Watching the show reminded me how far I have come. What's is so sad is that all these years later gay men & women are still having the same fears that I did. That fear is of being rejected by the people that you love the most.

Now If your straight you will never know how hard coming out is! If your gay then you will see yourself in these men and women.

Now if your straight please read on.

_____FOR STRAIGHT PEOPLE ONLY__________________________

Imagine living in fear. This fear is that everyone in your family might hate you! Remember you love them! However your so afraid that will no longer love you! Remember You know you do not want to hurt them. You don't want them to hate you. want to be part of their lives but you have a secret! That secret of course is that your family loves FOOTBALL and you don't...

Or Now Imagine being shunted by them because your "left handed". and they are all right handed. You can't help that your left handed your born that way! The same goes with being gay. "YOU ARE BORN GAY" just like your born left handed.

Some people know they are gay when there very young. Some people do not know until much later. In any event coming out is the most stressful thing one person can ever do.

This show (ON DVD CALLED COMING OUT STORIES) is a DVD you must watch even if your not gay. Chances are one day you will have someone in your life (family 0r a friend) who comes out to you and you might not understand why they lived in fear of telling you! This show will educated you on how hard the coming out process is.

Jerry Lewis The Day the Clown Cried

This movie is famous for lots of reasons. In case you didn't know "The Day the Clown Cried" Is a movie that was never released. There lots of explanations why it wasn't however now after almost 40 years after being shot the movie is still a major curiosity among movie fans (and fans of Jerry Lewis) on why it wasn't. The story all by itself sounds like a big What The Fuck.

Jerry Lewis plays a clown (remember this is the man who does that telethon for his kids each year) who takes childern well here is the plot as taken from wikipeia

Lewis plays a depressed, formerly great German circus clown named Helmut Dorque (pronounced 'Dork') during the beginning of World War Two and Holocaust. Although he was once a famous performer with the Ringling Brothers, Dorque is now past his prime and has little-to-no respect in the circus. After getting demoted for causing an accidental mishap during one performance, he shares his problems with his wife, who advises him to stand up for himself. Before he can summon the courage to defend himself and confront his antagonists, he overhears the lead clown Gustav telling the ringmaster to fire Helmut, or else he will resign, to which the showman reluctantly agrees. Distraught, Helmut is caught in a bar by the Gestapo for ranting about Germany and drunkenly mocking the Führer. After an interrogation at the Gestapo headquarters, he is imprisoned in a Nazi camp for political prisoners. For the next three to four years, he remains there while hoping for a trial and a chance to plead his case.
He tries to keep his bravado up among the other inmates by bragging what a famous performer he once was. His only friend in prison is a good-hearted German named Johann Keltner, whose reason for being interned is never fully revealed but most likely due to being an outspoken reverend towards the Nazis. The others goad him into performing for them, but he does not, realizing that he is, in fact, terrible. Frustrated, they beat him up and leave him in the courtyard to sulk about his predicament. Suddenly, he sees a group of Jewish children laughing at him from the other side of the camp, where the Jewish prisoners are being kept away from everyone else. Feeling delighted to be appreciated again, Helmut performs for them and gains quite an audience for a while, until the new prison commandant orders that he must be stopped.
After the SS guards break up his latest performance, they knock him out cold and start beating the children away from the barbed-wire fence. Horrified at what they are doing to children, Keltner defeats a guard in a fight, but he is quickly killed by receiving several blows to the head. Helmut, meanwhile, is placed alone in solitary confinement. Seeing a use for him, the commandant assigns him to help load Jewish children on trains leading out of the internment camp with the promise of a review of his case. By a twist of fate, he ends up accidentally accompanying the children on a boxcar train to Auschwitz, and he is eventually used, in almost Pied Piper fashion, to help lead Jewish children to their deaths in the gas chamber.
Offered his freedom if he fulfills this request, Helmut reluctantly obliges to do so. Leading them to the "showers," he becomes increasingly dependent on a miracle, only to learn there is none. After all the children go into the chamber, he is so filled with remorse for what he has done that he goes into the room himself to entertain them. The probable reason why he does this is that he wished to take back all the bad things he had done, but according to one of the few that have seen the film, it may have been for his own ego. As the children laugh while he performs, every one of them dies quietly of the effects of Zyklon B.

Well to me this movie sounds like Jerry Lewis had an ego trip and thought he could win that Academy Award but give me a break. The movie should of never been made.

The Love Guru Bombs its Not a Surprise to Stan Heck

The Love Guru Bombs is Not a Surprise to me. I saw Mike Myers is a photo in the USA Today in his costume and I thought he looked stupid. Around February I first saw the coming attraction for "The Love Guru" and I thought "this looks bad" & " I might catch it on DVD".

Well from the looks of things I am not alone in this thinking. The Movie Bomb. The reviews were bad. Exit polls were not very good at all. I think Mike Myers needs to do a movie now that he doesn't have to do "A Funny Voice". His voice thing has gotten tired with movie goers.

Where is the Broadway production of Designing women

Where is the Broadway production of Designing women? A few years ago Linda Bloodsworth said she was working on a Broadway play that would in fact serve of what she intended to be the final episode. I was at a celebration of the show in 1991 and Linda said to the audience that in the final show she wanted "Suzanne & Anthony to run of and get married". To her she said "It would be the Old South merging with The New South".

When DW hit the air I was a fan. Moment One. This wasn't about 4 horny people in their early 20's, It was about real issues! I loved it from episode one.! If you watch the show today you will see the show almost has a timeless quality to it! That is because issues effecting women in the 1980's are still issues women are still facing today. Designing Women was at first called a rip-off of The Golden Girls by every reviewer. In fact it was called a rip-off of "The Golden Girls".

When DW hit the air in September of 1986 The Golden Girls were gearing up for their 2nd year (and the show just won an Emmy) I did like the Golden Girls but DW was a show unto itself. I remember in TV guide there was a blurb printed that said "The Worse Episode of The Golden Girls is better than the best episode of Designing Women". That pissed me off. "Designing Women" is now getting the last laugh. If critics would watch an episode of "The Golden Girls" today they would call that show preachy now. "Designing Women" would be hailed today as a break through. Can you Imagine a show like "DW" on Network TV today! No you can't!

The TV Networks would not put on a sitcom where the entire cast is women over the 30. How sad.
Now in 2008 22 years after its first episode aired Critics are calling "DW" "A Classic". To me and other fans of the show we knew "DW" was a great show! The fans were smarter then the critics. Today its now called a classic. Funny to the fans of the show we knew it over 20 years ago!

Time has proved the show is still a classic. Now when we see USA today mention great TV Shows they always mention Designing Women as a show "with a voice and wasn't afraid of its voice". Well I remember that same paper called it "Preachy" when it first aired Now how the times have changed. Where were these idiots 20 years ago.

The BAD PRESS
From the moment the show was introduced at the CBS up fronts (Spring 1986) show was being criticized very heavily by every publication! All of them said negative things! Today these same critics say "Designing Women is a great show and Networks should make shows like that again" Where were they in 1986?

When Designing Women was on the air all the Emmy's went to The Golden Girls Cheers or Murphy Brown. In fact One year it lost to "The Wonder Years"! Designing Women was nominated for Best Comedy Emmy in 1989 and 1990. Yes it lost. However today what show can you watch today and still laugh just as hard? What show still get new fans every year by the thousands. Well kids its not "Murphy Brown" or "Cheers" its DW. They don't make them like this anymore. Thank Linda Bloodsworth Thompson and Harry Bloodsworth for over 100 classic tv episodes. Now how about a reunion show/episode.

THE 1998 PSYCHO REMAKE REVIEW BY STAN HECK

This remake to me was not a bad idea. In fact I lover the fact that director Gus Van Sant was using the original screenplay. However what I think went wrong with his film was that he didn't change hardly anything. He should of updated the dialog. He should of change some directions (the actors copied almost everything from the original). Most of all the whole first act should of been changed.

A woman running after a man is believable however what is not believable is that a woman of 1998 would meet a man in secret. They would of been fucking in her house.

Also the casting of Vince Vaughn was just wrong. Gus should of cast (the time ) Edward Furlong or "Edward Furlong Type".

What is also funny is that this movie did not remake the original theatrical cut of 1960. What they did was a remake of the Television Cut. What was left on the cutting room floor was

a) The 2nd meeting with the sheriff and his wife at a church

b) The 2nd half of the Psychiatrist talk at the end of the movie.

In all I like the effort behind the movie. I do not think its a bad idea to remake a movie and use the same screenplay. I think if you remake a movie and use the same screenplay then please keep the movie in the era in which it was originally made. The remake of Psycho would of been better had they kept the movie in 1960!

Why I feel bad for the Hulk Hogan Family

Every family has ups and down. We all know what is going with these guys because they had a reality show. This made there private lives very public. Well we all know what has happened to this family in the last year. The car wreck, the divorce, a victim in a coma type state, & more.

Now I want everybody to think about this.

*IT WAS AN ACCIDENT I AM SURE NICK DID NOT INTEND FOR THE ACCIDENT TO HAPPEN

* THE JAIL HOUSE TAPE WAS LEAKED

Now every aspect of this family life seems to be released on TV. Now I agree Nick needs to do his time in jail. He also should have to pay for the care of his victim.

Hulk Hogan should not be thinking of a new TV show for his son. However he is trying to get his sons spirit up so I can see why he would say what he did to his son. This however doesn't mean I agree with Hulk. The Family needs help and I think the media should just back up.

THIS IS ALL I WILL EVER SAY ABOUT THIS FAMILY WE SHOULD ALL JUST BACK OFF.

American Graffiti can you believe its been 35 years

American Graffiti Would you believe its been 35 years this August when American Graffiti made is debut! The made for under a million dollars. It created new stars. Richard Dreyfus, & Harrison Ford are still on the Hollywood A-list. Ron Howard of course went on the become one of the biggest directors of all time. George Lucas went on the create "Star Wars" and he is the most successful director of all time.

However before "Star Wars" and "Indiana Jones" George Lucas directed by favorite movie of all time and that of course is "American Graffiti". For some reason I don't understand how a then 7 year old ( I saw this in 1974) could some get what was going on the screen and cared about the teens! For some reason the movie made an impact on my life and I don't know why.

Now for some reason I knew Debbie was a nice girl but for some reason I knew she would have sex with almost anybody. Once she jumped in that car with "The Toad" I knew she was easy. ( Well when I was 7 I thought sex was just French Kissing).

Now the movie was a huge success. It spawned a sequel. It also got the TV show "Happy Days" out of PILOT/DEVELOPMENT Hell at ABC. In fact if "American Graffiti" was not hit the movie version of "Grease" would of never made it to the screen.

"American Graffiti", was the first ever movie to tell multi stories. It was also ground breaking by using older music to help tell the story and setting the mood. The movie was a great then and its still holds up today. I just re-watched the movie again recently and I was still so moved by the story. It had been years since I saw the movie so I was thrilled to see how the movie has stood the test of time. In the future I would like to see a DVD release that is truly special. Maybe we will get one on Blue-Ray DVD. If we do then I will break down and buy a Blue-Ray.

STUNT CASTING Angelina Jolie IN A DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES EPISODE

This is wishful thinking on my part but, if I was in charge at "Desperate Housewives"I would cast Angelina Jolie in an episode in November for sweeps. I make her play against Susan (Teri Hatcher). Maybe be Susan's spoiled little sister. That would be fun. Besides "Housewives" needs a little goosing. Last year was the best year since the first however I think they are jumping the shark by moving the show 5 years in the future.

I think having Angelina come in for an episode would be great. I would love to see her terrorize Susan! By the way BRING BACK EDDIE AND Harriet Sansom Harris who played the sister of
Martha Huber was murdered by Paul Young. Martha Huber in fact did figure out that Paul did kill her sister and she framed Paul for her own murder. Got that?

Indiana Jones 4 is a hit so is could Pretty Woman 2 be coming soon

Its been 18 years since the movie Pretty Woman was released. It was a huge hit and it revived Richard Gere's movie career and it made Julia Roberts a household name. For the next 3 years there were rumors of a sequel. In 1992 Gary Marshall said 2 screenplays were being written and the best of those drafts would be made into "P.w. 2". Well no sequel was ever made. We did however get a re teaming of Richard and Julia in "Runaway Bride".

Well here it is almost 20 years later. I think a sequel would still work. I think getting Richard, Julia to sign on now would not be a problem. After all both of them have not been in a hit for sometime. Director Gary Marshall also hasn't had a hit movie for sometime now. A Sequel just maybe coming.

MORE AMERICAN GRAFFITI REVIEW BY STAN HECK

This sequel was made and released 6 years after the ground breaking hit "American Graffiti". This time around instead of the story taking place on one night it takes place on 5 New Years Eves and the storey's are inter cut together.

Unlike the original where all the story's worked here they all don't. The memorable one out of the five is the Steve & Laurie. However the other 4 storyline are good but there not great.

The actors give it 100% however the filming style switches from story to story. What I am most surprised in this movie is the story for Terry "The Toad". His character is the one that has grown the most.

Now in general this movie got bad reviews. If you judge it as a movie unto itself its good however its just not great.

The problem with the movie is that the characters are hard to connect too. We have one segment where someone doesn't speak English. I think if the movie took place all on the same night like the original & they re-worked some of the storyline's it might have been great. SO this is not great but its still worth watching. *** out of **** Stars

THE STRANGERS REVIEW BY STAN HECK

The makers of this movie said this was based on a true story. Well they are lying no such event took place.

Now the movie is about two yuppies that just get back from a wedding. They are fighting. Before long there is a knock on the door. Then the movie goes into full fear. The movie its self stinks. There is not too much going on. This is a stupid movie. Now for the record why is it that white people always split up in the movies? Also if your trapped anywhere how come the victim never starts a fire to draw attention? In all I give this movie *.

PSYCHO II 25th Anniversary DVD

PSYCHO II 25th Anniversary DVD

In June of 1983 Universal Studios released the sequel "Psycho" called "Psycho II". For over 20 years fans of the originals wanted a sequel. If you didn't Alfred Hitchcock directed the ground breaking original. Now as far as I know Mr Hitch never wanted to do a sequel however it made sense a sequel was made a few years after he died.

Now I am a huge fan of the original. I couldn't wait for the sequel. I bought the book and I was excited about the sequel. When the movie "Psycho II" was released I was happily surprised that the only thing the movie of "Psycho II" had in common with the book was the title.

Now here is my review. "Psycho II" is a very good movie on its own terms. Made and released 23 years after the original the movie is very well made and has an amazing story that I think Alfred Hitchcock would of enjoyed. The funny thing is that it took 23 years to get "Psycho II" to the movie screen. It has now been 25 years since "Psycho II" was released.

Now the story takes place 22 years after the events of the original. It starts off with Norman being released and he return home. Strange events soon take place at his home. He also lands a job a the diner and he befriends a fellow co-worker who soon ends up living with him.

Soon a local boy goesd missing and people start to blame Norman who be doing killing all over again. *** out of four stars

Now its beeen 25 years since the movie was made. I think a SPECIAL DVD Edition should be made. This is what I would include on the release.

PATTI LUPONE WINS THE TONY FOR GYPSY

Fans of Patti Lupone and fans of musicals were in heaven when Patti Lupone hit the Broadway Stage to play Mama Rose in "Gypsy". This is the role that Patti Lupone could only due. Over the years the musical has had lots of revivals and Patti Lupone was never in one until now.

Now Mama Rose is a part that Ethel Merman made a legend. But that was almost 50 years ago. Nobody has come close to belting out those songs like Ethel until now. Patti Lupone took a risk and it payed off. Patti Lupone is the Best Singer on Broadway today. She can sing and act better then anybody. As of fan of Patti I was so glad that she won the Tony. Now I hope they film this and play it on PBS. If they don't then the world will miss out on a legendary play being done by a legendary performer. This should be seen by the public. It would show a great singer/actress does her craft.

SEE THE ORIGINAL GONE IN 60 SECONDS

SEE THE ORIGINAL GONE IN 60 SECONDS

A few years ago we got a huge remake of cult 1970's classic "Gone in 60 Seconds". That mega producer of crap (also known as) Jerry Bruckheimer was in charge of that remake and I didn't see only because I hate most movies he has been involved in. The only exceptions are "Beverly Hills Cop" & "Flashdance". But back to topic.

The reason why I say see the original is because its the real deal. It was made in the 1970's and all the stunt car chases are real. No Computer enhancements. There is something about today's over done CGI movies that yes they are well made stunt shows they seem to lack something. That is why I beg all of you to rent the original "GISS". The acting is bad but the car chase is lots of fun. Plus for some reason the old style of film making seems to have my heart then today's CGI infected movies!

SEE THE ORIGINAL PROM NIGHT REVIEW BY STANTON HECK

If you want to see a nice little horror movie then go out and buy the original movie "Prom Night". The movie was released in 1980 and starred Jamie Lee Curtis. The movie doesn't have a clever setup however the first 5 minutes of the movie is something you won't forget. Yes some of the actors are too old to play teenagers however sit back and enjoy the movie for what it is. It does give you a few scares.

DVD WANTED SPECIAL EDITION OF THE FIRST WIVES CLUB REVIEW BY STAN HECK

I just watched again "The First Wives Club". The movie is 12 years old now. Released in 1996 the movie tells the story of 3 old friends reunited after a college friend of theirs has committed suicide. At the time of the reunion they find out they all have been dumped by their husbands for younger women. The women form a bound and plot revenge against their ex-husbands.

Now Paramount has released the movie years ago in a stand alone DVD without extras. This movie screams "IN NEED A SPECIAL EDITION". The movie has 40 minutes of edited footage that has never been seen by the public. In fact the footage contains John Stewart (THE DAILY SHOW) as Goldie Hawns boyfriend. There is also something edited when the ladies enter the house of one of their ex-husbands. See when we first see Bette Middler she walks fine. Then they cut to her entering the house and she is limping. This is never explained. Anyway I hope Paramount does do a special edition DVD. As the movie "Sex and City" proves women do support movies about women.

Why I will not see another M. Night Shyamalan film

M. Night Shyamalan new movie opens today. Its called "The Happening". I have no interest in watching it ever. TO me M. Night Shyamalan has not made a decent movie since "The Sixth Sense". I re-watched that movie again however if it wasn't for the ending that movie was boring.

Now I went to see his next 2 movies "Unbreakable" & "Signs" and hated both of them. I passed on seeing the next 2. I caught "The Village" on DVD and I guessed that "surprise" ending. I never wanted to see "The Lady in the Water" and the same goes true "The Happening".

I think M. Night Shyamalan is a good director but he needs direct things he doesn't write. He is not as talented as he thinks. I caught on to his limited talent years ago. It seems it took everyone else another 7 years to catch on.
