Drunk Driving

Drunk Driving is something that can be prevented. About 50% of all car fatalities are the result of someone driving drunk. This is something that is 100% preventable. If you plan on drinking please don't drive. You can kill someone. Please get a designated driver (someone who is not drinking) and have them drive you home. Take turns. If your going out then PLEASE take a taxi home. Yes a TAXI ride is not cheap but saving someone life is priceless.

Family's lives are destroyed every 30 minutes because someone they love has just been killed by a drunk driver.

GETTING A BUZZ IS NOT WORTH TAKING SOMEONE LIFE EVEN YOUR OWN.

My advise to Ugly Betty Suarez

My advise to Ugly Betty Suarez

Yes I know Betty is not a real person. If she was a real person this is what I would tell her.
Dump Henry. He has a child that you will have to help raise. PLUS

A) You would have to deal with your step child's baby mama for the rest of your life
B) He wants you to move to Arizona.
Betty does love him but her career is going great in New York. If Henry loves her, he stay in New York.
C) Its too hard to move away and start over again. Betty is close to her family. It would be heartbreaking to her if she only saw them once a year.

Gio is great to Betty. He pushes her to try new things. He also pushes her into following her dreams. He is very supportive. Henry is nice but he has too much baggage.

Working at the Silver Slipper

I have had better jobs & better paying jobs. What I do love about working there is that it is close to my home. I enjoy the people I work with. If you ever around stop by the casino. It has 3 great places to eat. There is live entertainment. They are also giving away a car on the Last Saturday of the month. So stop by and if you see me say Hi.

DESIGNING WOMEN DVD COLLECTION WANTED

I feel good that I discovered this show from episode one. I loved the show because it was unlike any show I have ever watched before. I like the show because I thought it was well written and it was not afraid to tackle issues. DW was the first show on TV to talk about AIDS. It also was a showcase for the entire cast.

The show was however not popular with most critics. They said it was a rip off of "The Golden Girls". Well the only thing DW had in common with GG was that the cast was all women.

The show never got the awards that it should of. It was ignored. Today however pick up any magazine or watch one of those Entertainment Shows. When ever there is a subject of classic TV comedies they now say DW is a classic. I find that funny. However what I don't find funny is that there is only 1 DVD that has been released of DW. That DVD only had 5 episodes.

I want them to release the entire first season on DVD.

IS THERE SOMETHING WRONG WITH DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES STAR DOUG SAVANT

The handsome actor Doug Savant caught my attention when "Desperate Housewives" premiered in 2004. Now he caught my attention again because in the 2 hour season finale of "Desperate Housewives" he looked bad real bad. He looked tired and haggard. No longer the handsome face that I remembered. I thought that maybe with all that his character had gone through maybe he was made up to look bad. Then I saw the picture of him in the USA TODAY and he looks bad. Its a cast photo of his TV family. Look at the 2 pictures and remember there only 2 years apart.

BOSTON LEGAL THE BEST SHOW ON TV

I love this show. Its heart is in the correct place. Some stories on the show are just stupid. However BL does take hits on the American Establishment. The show sadly will come to an end Next year. ABC only ordered 13 episodes. This however only was a last minute pick up by the Network. ABC has treated this show like shit since year one.

It was on Sundays at 10. It was put on rest so ABC could use that time slot to launch "Grey's Anatomy". Well "GA" became huge hit on "BL" did not return until the next TV season. Well there is more but lets just say if ABC owned "BL" the show would would no of moved time slots as much as it did.

** Dick Tracy A review By Stan Heck

Dick Tracy Warren Beatty stars and directed in this 1990 film. Now It has been over 15 years since I saw this. When the movie was released theatrically . I went and saw it then. I remember liking the movie more then "BATMAN". Seeing it now all these years later its like seeing it for the first time.

Now I like parts of this movie. Only parts. I think the movie was a little too much . Its well made but its not very entertaining. When this movie was released it was the first movie that Warren Beatty made since "ISHTAR". All though Warren did not direct "ISHTAR" he still needed to be in a huge hit. He was hoping "Dick Tracy" would make him a huge star to a new generation. He even cast Madonna. He was hoping her young fans would turn out for this movie.

Dick Tracy is very pretty to look at. However the plot is almost invisible. The acting by Warren is at best stilted. Madonna can't save the day. There is also to many songs that Madonna sings that slow the movie down.

There is also lots A LIST cameos however they can not save the picture.

Norma Rae **** Review By Stan Heck Walmart Employees SHould see this

Sally Field won her first Academy Award for her iconic portrayal of the the title character "Norma Rae". In case you do not know the story its about a woman who be a series of events ends up becoming a union advocate. You see a union organizer has just came into town. He is trying to get the mill employees to go union.

While checking into the local motel he meets Norma. She is a very popular local girl. With her help he just might get a union. MOVIES DO NOT GET MUCH BETTER THEN THIS.

Ellen Degeneres Will Wed but Anne Heche is broke

Ellen Degeners is getting married. I am happy that she is. This woman is my hero and always will be. Now I do not 100% agree with her stnces (Crying over a dog) however she is the one that gay & lesbians on the radar map. If it wasn't for Ellen there would of never been a "Will & Grace". Also she put it out there that there was nothing to be ashamed of that you were gay. She made me feel like a human being. She made it okay to be gay. She also went to events with her then girlfriend Anne Heche and they were the "it" couple. In 2000 they broke up but "Ellen and Anne" made people open their eyes that gay people are like everyone else. WHich brings me to Anne Heche.

Anne Heche is in the middle of a divorce for her husband. She stated in court documents that she is almost broke. Since her TV show ended she no longer has a steady paycheck and wants her support money to her ex-husband to be cut. I can't blame her for that. He should get a job.

I do wish both of these women a lifetime of happiness.

The Greatest TV Movies THE DAY AFTER

TV movies. 9 out of 10 of them are bad. There not worth watching. However ever once in a while there is gem. In 1983 ABC broadcast a thought provoking TV movie called "The Day After". The story is what happens after the war.

Against the real-life backdrop of the U.S. deployment of WMDs in Europe during the escalating Cold War, this "dramatically involving [and] agonizingly graphic film" (The Hollywood Reporter) about nuclear holocaust detonated a direct hit into the heartland of America.Starring Jason Robards, JoBeth Williams, Steven Guttenberg, John Cullum and John Lithgow, this "controversial, potent drama" (Leonard Maltin) remains "one of the most talked-about programs in history"(Newsweek)! When Cold War tensions reach the ultimate boiling point, the inhabitants of a small town in Kansas learnalong with the rest of America that they have fewer than 30 minutes before 300 Soviet warheads begin to appear overhead! Can anyone survive this ultimate nightmare...or the nuclear winter that is sure to follow?

Even today the movie is one everybody should see. It makes you think.

Race with the Devil *** A good movie that is rumored to get a remake

Race with the Devil is one fun movie. Its action/adventure/horror. In short 2 couples on vacation together are being chased through the back woods of Texas because they witnessed a human sacrifice. The movie runs 90 minutes and its never boring. It never lets up. Its go time from the get go. This is something Hollywood needs to think about when they remake this. I hope the remake isn't twice as long and 1/2 as good. Also they need to keep the ending.

DAVE'S THE LASERDISC DVD PLACE Why I think it closed

I loved Dave's the Laser Place. I had a huge Laserdisc collection and 80% of them were bought from Dave's. Now Dave's was great because they had lots of major Hollywood Directors come in and sign the laserdisc (and later DVD's). To name a few John Carpenter, William Friedkin, & the the late Robert Wise.

There also had studio day when reps. from all the major Hollywood Studios would come in and talk to the public on upcoming DVD' releases.

Dave's also sold high end Audio & Video Equipment. The store was great. However Dave's closed a few years ago and here is what I think what happened.

1) Laserdisc turned into DVD. Daves was only a handful of places that sold movies on Laserdisc.

2) DVD was sold everywhere at huge discounts. Dave's had to compete now with thousands of places for the DVD business. With Laserdisc that had very little competition.

3) The Internet and DVD meet. People could now buy any movie they wanted from anywhere. They no longer had to drive to Dave's.

NOW THE BIGGEST THING THAT HAPPEN POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

The staff was okay but it had a few rude people. If you did not drive up in a $100,000 car they did not care to help you. There was one man in there was so rude (he was a nerdy type and wore glasses) that I stop buying DVD's there. I was spending At a minimum $400 a month on new DVD'S. Whenever I would ask him anything (release date for of a movie) he would just turn up his nose. He would answer my question but I think he was just a snot. Well I had enough of his shit.

There was others in there that were just as rude but he is the one the sticks out in my mind. There was a nice girl/lady that worked in there but Dave's for some reason seem to hire assholes.

DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES RANT BREE WAS WRONG

If your an adult you know there is 2 things you never do to someone "Fuck with there Money"

or "Fuck with there Family". Bree Van De Camp did both of these things.

She fake her pregnancy in order to be the parent of the child. Second she fucked with Edie's job thus avoiding Edie a payday. This are things a decent person would do. However since Bree is a christian I expected no less.

ROOTS AN EVENT THIS COUNTRY WILL NEVER SEE AGAIN

Back in the 1970's American Households only got about 7 TV Channels. Now its over 100. Back in the 1970's TV was a shared experience. Chances are everyone watched the same thing on TV that you did the night before. "Roots" was a life changing experience to me. I was not yet 10 when it aired but it was something special that my parents allowed me to watch and stay up past my normal bedtime.

This was a TV Mini series that educated me about America and how we are not a nice country of Christians that we claim to be.

"Roots" showed me that Americans stole and capture Black Men & Women from Africa. We broke apart family's. Then we made these men and women slaves. They then became "Property" of plantation owners. Then the men were beat up on a routine basics and the women were raped.

Family's were torn apart again when slave owners would sell off children of slaves. Wasn't this Nice! Also once the African Americans were freed they were subject to another 100 years of segregation.

African Americans are still subjected to racism today. They are pulled over by police for no reason. This happens not just in the south but everywhere in the United States.

I am getting off the point here but if there was something like "ROOTS" made today it would not have the impact that it had in the 1970's.

Also note that this country needs to change and move forward. For over 200 years we have had MIDDLE AGE WHITE MEN in the White House.

Obama should be our next President not because he is black but because HE IS THE RIGHT PERSON for the job. I know there is people that will not vote for him because he is black. That's sad. I also think these same people are going to freak out when they meet Jesus and find out that Jesus and Moses are black!

TINA TURNER SET TO TOUR AGAIN

For some reason I love Tina Turner. I love the fact that against all odds she made a comeback in the 1980's. I love the "Private Dancer" record. I think to say its a classic is an understatement.

This is one lady I wanted to see in concert. I never have Until now. She is set to tour again. I will see her I just don't know where. I am glad she is touring again. She is an inspiration to lots of people which includes myself. Tina Turner is simply "The Best"

Victor Victoria is a must see.

IN 1982 there were a slew of gay theme, or "gender bender movies". This was a ground breaking year. The gay rights movement of the 1970's had finally caught Hollywood's attention and Hollywood started making movies about gays and lesbians.

What is sad the movies of 1982 happen to come out the same time Ronald Regan was in office and AIDS became a household word. However the gay theme related movies "Victor/Victoria", "Making Love", "Personal Best", & "Partners" were not huge hits at all. Only the gender bender movie "Tootsie" was a huge hit. So Hollywood learned that if if you have a man in a dress he couldn't be gay.

Well here we are 26 years later. With the exception of "Partners" all the movies hold up today. In fact I would call them classics. "Victor/Victoria" was ahead of its time. If the movie was made today I am sure it would win Best Picture of the Year. The movie is everything you want in a movie. Its funny and its sad. The Musical numbers (which are all performed in a stage setting) are just great. Please rent this movie if you never have watched it. It is movie that is a joy to behold. This was writer/director Blake Edwards at his best.

The movie is one the best movies of the 1980's. In fact its in my top 5 of the 1980's.

Movie studio are Reviving the 1980's Could that mean GHOSTBUSTERS 3 III

Movie studio are Reviving the 1980's . In 2006 MGM hit payday when it released "ROCKY BALBOA". It was a hit. That led LIONS DATE to make RAMBO. The movies a hit as well. Now PARAMOUNT pictures is bringing back "Indiana Jones". This was a character the came to life for the first time in 1981.

If "Indiana Jones" is a smash hit I am sure we will see another "GHOSTBUSTERS" movie. In what form I don't know. It could be a CGI cartoon or live action movie. Also note that the 1980's cult favorites "Friday the 13th" & "Adventures in Babysitting" are being remade.

The following list of 1980's movies are the most likely to get a sequel or another sequel if "Indiana Jones" proves to be a SMASH HIT.

1) The Karate Kid

2) Ghostbusters

3) Beverly Hills Cop

4) Crocodile Dundee

5) Nine to Five

6) The Breakfast Club

7) Police Academy

8) Vacation

9) Back to the Future

10) Naked Gun

11) RoboCop

12) Gremlins

The following is a list of 1980's movies that are rumored to get the remake treatment

"Flash Dance", "Footloose", "Stir Crazy", "Private Benjamim", "9 to 5", "Little Darlings", "Fame",

"Endless Love", "Stripes", "Porky's", & "Red Dawns"

Armistead Maupin author of Tales of The City

One day I hope I can have dinner with Armistead Maupin . I love his work. In case you have not read the books or seen the movies (based on series of books written by Armistead Maupin ) then go get them now.

I can not say enough good things about "Tales of the City". To me it is a fantasy world that I wish I was a part of.

IRON MAN REVIEW *** BY STAN HECK

"Iron Man" is a good movie. There is nothing new this movie offers however it is very entertaining. Robert Downey Jr gives a great performance and he rises above the material he was given. The problem with this movie is that (like most movies today) it should of been edited better. There is 15 minutes of footage that should of been left on the cutting room floor.

SPECIAL EDITION BREAKFAST CLUB DVD NEEDED

The "Breakfast Club" was released in 1985. This also happens to be the year I graduated from high school. The film still is being discovered my a new generation however this movie is owned by my generation.

TBC is a great movie that needs to have a special edition DVD release. John Hughes wrote and directed this. The cast is great and it would be great is we get a mini reunion with entire cast doing an audio commentary on the DVD.

A DVD release could and should include the following

*DELETED FOOTAGE (THERE IS LOTS OF IT)
*MUSIC VIDEOS
*THE DOCUMENTARY THAT AIRED ON "E"
*POP UP TR IVA THAT WAS ON "AMC"
*THE MTV 20th ANNIVERSARY REUNION THAT WAS ON THE MTV MOVIE AWARDS
What would you like to see on the DVD?

YOU MUST WATCH UGLY BETTY

I love this show. It has some so-so weeks but in general it never fails to entertain. I love Betty's Family. The love triangle its a little stupid. However if this was real life I would tell Betty stick with GIO. He has no baby-mama drama

PAULA ABDUL REHAB WATCH

So when do you think she will end up in rehab? I say "She never will". She needs help but she is a pill popping mess. Here is a rundown that is known about her

1) Her Erratic behavior makes Tom Cruise look normal

2) Hit & Run (Didn't know she hit somebody ...bullshit)

3) Seattle interview fiasco

4) Constant erratic behavior on "American Idol" .. Grown middle age women don't cry like she does. Only women are addicts.

5) She allegedly slept with a contestant.

6) Slurred speech when she was on "The Tonight Show"

7) Her appearance the other night was shaky. Blaming the show when she was so out of it.

PEOPLE WHO ARE CLEAR HEADED DO NOT HAVE MOMENTS LIKE THIS ALL THE TIME. PAULA HAS ADMITTED TO BEING ON PAIN MEDICATION. SHE TAKES TOO MUCH OF IT. SHE NEEDS HELP BUT SHE IS TOO STUPID TO GET IT.

FANTASIA AMERICAN IDOL WINNER CAN SHE READ YET?

If "Fantasia" did not win "American Idol" she would still be getting a government check every month. I am saying this to be mean however the last time I check she was not smarter then a fifth grader. She can sing but that's about it.

GHOSTBUSTERS II NEEDS A SPECIAL EDITION DVD

GHOSTBUSTERS II NEEDS A SPECIAL EDITION DVD.

GB 2 is a very good movie. Not as good as the first but still very watchable. In case you didn't know the movie at the very last minute went in for major re-shoots. In fact the last 30 minutes were all re-shoots. I have no idea what was changed but I would love to see that footage wouldn't you?

Paula Abdul Needs Help Doesn't Anybody Care about her?

I know an addict when I see one. I am a recovering drunk. I have been sober for over 10 years now. I am not saying this to be mean but she is hooked on something. Doesn't her entourage tell her the truth. Every few months this lady makes a fool of herself on Television. On the "Tonight Show" I saw and herd her slurring her words. Then less then a year later she is "out of it" when she was promoting "American Idol she was drunk or she took too much of something. Now this week she was made a fool of herself when she blamed "The Show" saying "she read the wrong notes".

If she doesn't get help fast she well end up dead like Heath Ledger. Its only a matter of time.

Under appreciated classic American Graffiti review by Stan Heck

Under appreciated classic American Graffiti

American Graffiti was ground breaking. There were lots of things this movie did that are now common practice.

1) Telling lots of stories at same time. There wasn't one story going on. In fact there were

There wasn't one person that was the Star of the movie. This movie had cast. Every person in this movie had there own story. This now happens on TV series all the.

2) The sound track. This was the first time a movie used old songs as the soundtrack. In fact the music itself was one of the stars

3) The sound itself. The music herd from the radios in this was mixed so when a car drove across screen the music followed and faded out with the car.

There is more however I wanted to give this movie attention. The movie is a classic and its one of my all time favorites.

DC MADAM IT WASN'T SUICIDE IT WAS MURDER COVER UP

She was murdered. She had a client list that would shock most of us. I am sure some politician had her killed. Women don't hang themselves. They take pills. Also grown women who have children do not commit suicide as their mother's home. They will more then likely check into a motel so they do not traumatize their parents or children. Women never kill themselves inside a home. Maybe a garage but not a shed. This has murder cover up written all over it.

American Idol Judge Paula Abdul Needs Rehab

I was never a fan of "American Idol". The times I caught the show I was not impressed with anybody too much. I saw a few episodes last year and I wanted to shoot the TV screen every time Blake Lewis came on the screen. He ruined every song he had to perform. Didn't anybody bother to tell him that "Beep Boxing" is over. The highlight of the show that I saw last year is when Randy Jackson told Blake "Let the classics be classics". In other words stop beep boxing". Needless to say I was not surprised Blakes CD was a bomb. Maybe now he will go away.

As for the Judge "Paula Abdul"? That stupid woman is not "a gift". She needs to stop drinking and pill popping. She seems out of it all the time. I saw her on "The Tonight Show" and she was slurring her words like a slutty 22 years old dorm girl. She is a mess.

Paula I want you to goto "REHAB". In fact if I was a contestant on the show that is the song I would sing "REHAB". I would dedicate it to you.

Jackie Chan The Forbidden Kingdom **

I will be honest. I hate Action movies. I hate fantasy movies. I hate martial arts movies. This was all 3. I had to go see this movie because that one does in a relationship. However sitting through this movie was more torture to me then sitting through a movie marathon of Tori Spelling movies.

Now I wasn't bored with this movie I just don't enjoy these types of movies. It is well made but I will not watch it again. I would rather go to the dentist!

Now this movie a kid ends up in another world/alternative that sends him to free the monkey king with a magical sword which he got from a PAWN SHOP. The kid is played by "Michael Angarano" who played Sean Hayes's son on "Will and Grace".

Now I think the producers of this movie CGI (Michael Angarano) head onto another body. Michael has too fat of a face to have such a slim body unless he has a drinking problem
