Eddie Murphy What Happened HE WAS Funny

Eddie Murphy was funny.  You would never know this if the only films you ever saw of his were the last 6 live action films that he has been in!

SHOOT ME I AM STILL A "FACTS OF LIFE FAN"

No matter what if I hear any of these ladies are in something I will watch it!   I grew up watching this show!  Seeing them in anything is like seeing an old friend ...

I LOVE THIS PHOTO OF THE CLOSETED COWARD JOHN TRAVOLTA

Gay, closeted, and now fat

ORCA THE KILLER WHALE IS A VERY GOOD MOVIE

For a film that is a rip-off of "Jaws"  it is still very entertaining.    If you can find it on TV  or DVD then see it.

DISNEY ROBIN HOOD I STILL LIKE THIS FILM

I like this film.  I can not believe that it is now 40 years old.  What I remember the most about this film was begging my parents to buy me the record. This was years before anybody ever herd term VHS or DVD.

Now once my parents did I was so disappointed because the record skipped!   I think they had to take it back 3 or 4 times.  Nowadays nobody buys records or CD's.  Today's generation never has to wait a year to watch "The Wizard of Oz" again.  they don't have to wait 7 years for Disney to re-issue "Snow White".

For some reason I miss those days!!!

ALICE IN WONDERLAND NO MATTER HOW MANY VERSIONS ARE MADE

THE 1951 Disney Version is still my favorite version to see..

GREASE 1978 HERE IS SOME OF THE DELETED SCENES WATCH HERE

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jS9e9SLWPIE

Most of this footage our extend out  scenes films not add new ones!

RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK I AM HOPING FORA BIG SCREEN RE-RELEASE

I am hoping that maybe this will get a major re-release on the big screen!  Maybe even be converted into a 3d film?

TOOTSIE A CLASSIC FILM

Now this film is loved by those who have seen this and its in the millions!    Even though it lost the Academy Award to "Gandhi" I find it very comforting that 30 years later people will still watch "Tootsie" over "Gandhi".  The public has away of letting the Academy Know that they are full of shit!

WE ARE LOSING THE SLASHER-HORROR FILMS OF THE 1980'S

I love the horror films of the 1980's.  What most people don't know is that we are in danger of losing many of them.  Now most of the best known titles were not made by the major Hollywood Studios!  They were made in Canada.  Now since these films are not owned by the majors the negatives are owned by people that don't really take care of them.  If you look at the film "Prom Night" the DVD transfer is bad.  A new print needs to come off of a negative however that cost money!  The negative however is now 33 years old and most likely not kept in the best condition and most likely needs to be restored.  If that doesn't happen soon the negative will be gone forever!

This is also true of "Terror Train"  "The PRowler"  "silent Scream" "House"  "The Hills have Eyes" "Torso" "The Boogeyman" "toolbox Murders" "The Godsend" "Children Shouldn't Play with Dead things" and even "Day of the Dead".  Yes some these were made by American Companies however not by film studios.  The negatives to these films are not kept in a proper storage facility.

Now these are not critical darlings however the fans of these films are very devoted and are most likely to buy these films.  Fans of "Out of Africa" are not movie buyers!

These films need to find a safe place to be stored.  It would be a shame if the negatives are not preserved!

Think about this  "Prom Night" will still have still have fans in 2043 but I doubt most people by then will ever watch "Argo" "The Artist" "Crash" "The Last Emperor" "Rainman" "Gandhi" "The BEst years of our Lives".

Yes the above are all best picture winners however in another 10 years most of these films will be forgotten if there not already!  Horror fans always love anything and they will watch older films to get a good scare.  Even today "Frankenstein" "The Wolf-man" the Vincent Price Films still get new fans daily.   We still can watch those films today because they were made by the major studios.  This is not the case for the slasher films of the 1980's.

The same can not be said for the Horror/Slasher Films of the 1980's..  they need to be protective.    If we don't preserve them they will be lost.  That would be a shame.

ZERO DARK THIRTY A MUST SEE

This film was great.  It was much better then "Argo".  What I loved about this film was the fact was realistic..

MAN OF STEEL MAY REVISE WARNERS INTEREST IN A NEW SUPEMAN THE MOVIE RELEASE

Since the "man of steel" is a hit I hope Warner Brothers will  revisit the original film and release a DVD that contains all the deleted scenes from the original edition!  They have released some but not all.  Fans would love to own official editions on DVD that contains all of the deleted footage.

Now this  footage doesn't have to be edited  back into the film but it would be a great extra!

TERMNATOR 5 IS COMING IN 2015

HALLOWEEN II 1981 VERSION MY OPINION & SPOILERS AND ROB ZOMBIE

This film to me completes the first film.  I love the first one but I also love this film as well.   Now technically speaking "Halloween II" should of been the end of the "Halloween" & Michael Myers.

The reason why the  "Halloween" films should have ended here is because it was disclosed that in this film that Michael was stalking Jamie Lee Curtis because she was his sister. That was the last great moment in the entire franchise!

I didn't mind this new angle on Michael and Laurie.  However now that we learn that Michael only goes after siblings it made making anymore movies without Jamie Lee Curtis problematic. Besides at the end of this film Michael & Dr Loomis die in a huge fire!  However that was changed of course for later sequels.

When John Carpenter and Debra Hill still had control over the "Halloween" films  we got in 1982  the Micheal Myers-less Sequel "Halloween III" which was good but fans wanted to see Michael Myers and 6 years later he came back but this time he went after his niece.    In future installments he went after distant relatives.  Later Jamie Lee Curtis returned for "Halloween H20" and a cameo for "Halloween Resurrection"

When I herd they were remaking "Halloween" I thought great this time they will make Myers attack anyone for any reason .  Well Rob Zombie fucked up.  HE copied the errors that the original producers did.  He made Michael attack family.   Then again whoever thought it was a good idea to have Rob Zombie do a remake should of been shot anyway.

Now the longest dry spell we had between "Halloween" films is 6 years.  It was 6 years between "Halloween III" and "Halloween Iv".   It was 6 years between "Halloween v" and "Halloween VI".   This year will mark the 5th year without a  new "Halloween" film however there is rumblings that a new "Halloween" film is coming in 2015.  Funny it will be 6 years since the last "Halloween" film.

UPDATE  IN OCTOBER OF 2019 JOHN CARPENTER AND JAMIE LEE CURTIS RETURN TO THE FILM FRANCHISE  THAT MADE THEM LEGENDS.

IT IS SAID TO BE IGNORING ALL THE SEQUELS AND THE ROB ZOMBIE SHITSHOWS. I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS FILM!

Operation Eagle Claw Would be an interesting film

With "Argo" being a big hit I am hoping that the failed Hostage attempt will be turned into a film or a documentary.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Eagle_Claw

SARAH PALIN FANS ARE MOST LIKELY FANS OF THE KARDASHIANS

Every brainless woman I know if both a fan of the publicity whore Sarah Palin and the ultimate whore Kim Kardashian

THE KAREN CARPENTER STORY WITH BARBIE DOLLS

Richard Carpenter refuses to licence the songs to the filmmakers.  So this film sits in  vault however because the internet if you look hard enough you can find a copy for sale!  Track one down!  Its very good!

BABY BLUE MARINE DVD

This is a very sweet film.  I wanted to get it I finally found it on Ioffer.com.    Couldn't be happiier!

RICHARD GERE NEVER LOOKED HOTTER

Richard Gere never looked hotter. "An Officer and a Gentlemen" he was Sexy beyond words!  The scene at the dance with him smiling to be has always been a big turn on!

THE OTHER SIDE OF THE MOUNTAIN FILM

Major Hollywood studios no longer make these types of films and that's  sad.   I would rather sit through another weepie like these movies then another comic book movie.

RABBIT TEST I GOT A DVD

I got it on Ioffer for under $7 bucks and it has perfect audio and video! .  The movie is not that great but it does make me laugh!  I wanted to see it again I finally did!

STAR WARS THE ORIGINAL 1977 EDITON WILL MOST LIKELY GET A BLU-RAY RELEASE

Disney paid $4 Billion Dollars for the Star Wars Films.  I can not see them passing an opportunity to recoup some the investment FAST! By restoring the original edition it would generate millions of dollars in blu-ray sales!

Titanic if they rebuild this ship

If they rebuild en exact replica of this ship I would love to go on it!  I just hope on the maiden voyage the first guest on the ship would be "relatives" of  the original passengers that were on the ship on 1912.

Paula Deen is ignorant but not a racist

I hate it when people keep kicking someone when they are down.  Now I have never bought a "Paula Deen" product however I will not boycott her because she made a very stupid mistake.

Hate to tell you this folks but most white people have said the word.  Yes its an Ugly word.  But saying it doesn't make a you automatically a racist.

I don' think Paula is a KKK member like a certain Hollywood Actor!

UNDER THE DOME A HIT

CBS seems to have scored a hit with this Summer Show.  I am hoping that maybe the Broadcast Networks will finally start branching out there cocoons and realize that people will watch new shows in the Summer...

People seem to forget that "Survivor" started out as a Summer Show  It was a huge hit.

JAWS ARE YOU STILL AFRAID OF THE WATER

I was never afraid of the Ocean after I saw Jaws.  Today now I am.  I Can't explain why...

Why Hasn't a movie been made about Casablanca Records

This was a hugely successful record Label.  It would make an awesome movie!

TONY PARKER ENGAGED

If they get married it won't last....

DONNA SUMMER GREATEST HITS ON THE RADIO

The Death of Donna Summer was more of a shocker to me then the death of WHiteny Houston or Michael Jackson.

I love Donna Summer. The Greatest Hits album I still play in my car especially on long road trips!
She makes a long dark road very enjoyable.

SOUND OF MUSIC THE MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK CD

Still love this album!  Corny maybe?  However has the ever been a better musica?  FYI if you adjusted the box office gross of THE SOUND OF MUSIC it would be over a BILLON in todays dollars.  That Dwards the $750,000,000 of Avitar the current box office champ!

CULTURE CLUB CD WAKING UP WITH THE HOUSE ON FIRE

Not the best colections of songs on this Album however I do love "The War Song" and the love song "Mistake #3".   I would be disapointed if I ever saw CC in concert and they dodn't sing these songs.

EVEN I CAN'T STOMACH A "SEX AND THE CITY MARATHON"

After Hurricane Katrina we had no cable for weeks.  So we bought the "Sex and the City" Complete Box Set and by the end of watching the entire six seasons I was sick of "Carrie Bradshaw".

If you ever pay close attention in every episode she pouts and paces by her computer saying " I couldn't Sleep".

Now years later I did enjoy the first movie but the 2nd movie was garbage... I hope there is one more movie.  I would hate to see "Sex and the City 2" be the last impression I have of this show!!

HEY BROADWAY PRODUCERS REVIVE CARNIVAL

A full scale production would be a huge event.  the show hasn't been done in years and there is a whole new generations that could discover this gem!!!

Jason Alexander

He was only good in "Seinfeld".  Everything else I have seen him in he overacts.

John Travolta Come Out

The longer you stay in your marriage the worse you look.

Growing Pains Stars Joanna and Tracey Are Still working today

I thought Joanna Kerns was wasted in this silly show.  I find it however ironic that the women in this show still get work today and Kirk Cameron pimps himself out as a Christian in order to get work!!!

Patty Hearst 39 years Later

This was the first major news story I remember.  The Kidnapping of Patty Hearst!  The News was an addictive soap opera that ran on for a long time.  In fact people involved with the kidnapping of Patty still seem to pop up in the news today..

Now of all the famous people I would ever want to meet Patty is near the top.  I find the events of her life still addicting.  I would love to hear her side of things first hand!

Ellen Degeneres Wow 17 years ago you started a movement that ended in victory

"Ellen Degeneres" came out of the closet in 1997.  She came out but she had her tv alter-ego come out as well.  This was (and still is) a very controversial thing to do.  When "ellen" came out "I CAME OUT TOO".

I thank "ellen' for her courage.  It seems to me after "Ellen" came out things started to get better for many gay  Americans.  If "ellen" had not of come out then in 1998 the violent death of Andrew Shepherd might not of gotten the press that is did. "Ellen" brought a spotlight to gay issues.  I don;t know if we would had had gay marriage come into focus had it not been for "Ellen".

She is a "Living American Icon".  A title that few people deserve but she is one of the few!  .

PAPER MOON GREAT MOVIE BUT

I love this movie.  It just now that I saw Ryan in Tatum in a reality show the did on OWN I can't stand to look at them.  They are both Spoiled Brats with no clue how to behave!

Santa Claus Conquers the Martians Isn't that Bad of a film

Yes I don't mind watching this.  It is much more entertaining  then "Eyes Wide Shut" and "Gandhi"

PURPLE RAIN THE BEST ALBUM IN 1984

The Summer of 1984 was a big Summer.  The Los Angles Olympics were a huge success.  and America was at the height of Reaganomics.  (Not that was a good thing).

What I remember the most of the summer  1984  was no matter where you were you only herd two recording artist on the radio.  They were Bruce Springsteen and Prince.

"Purple Rain" was a hit film with an awesome soundtrack.  To this day the clubs still play tracks off of this album.   "Let's Go Crazy" is almost a club anthem.

If you ever get the chance listen to the entire album.  You will see why Prince is still around today!

XANADU LOVE THE CD HATE THE FILM

If you din't know the song "Magic" is from the soundtrack of "Xanadu".  I love this song and it is one of my personal favorites of all time.  It has a "Dreamy/Romantic Vibe" in the music  and the song does seem to be magical.

Now I bought the 45 (remember them) long before I saw the movie.   When I did see the movie I couldn't believe what a piece of shit. I was 12 and I knew this film was shit....  However I Still love the soundtrack

SALSA THE MOVIE WHY IS IT NEVER ON THE TOP 10 WORSE MOVIES OF ALL TIME?

I dare to sit through this film.  GO ahead I dare you....

THE BIG BANG THEORY I Can't WAIT FOR NEW EPISODES Plus I Love Mayim Bialik

The Producers were very smart when they added Mayim Bialik to the cast.  The show went from being funny to being one of the best comedies currently on Television.

Mayim's character (Amy Farrah Fowler) is the funniest on the show.   Mayim knows how to score the laughs.  I smell an Emmy Nomination For Her and hopefully a win!

NO OFFICIAL RELEASE OF HALLOWEEN 6 PRODUCERS CUT IS MADE PIRATES RICH BUT NOW WILL HAVE AN OFFICIAL RELEASE

The "Halloween" fans have been wanting an official release of the Producers Cut on DVD for years.  Regardless now of whoever owns the DVD rights it is stupid of them not to sanction a DVD release.  By not doing so is only making pirates richer!   You can  find Pirate Versions of the film on DVD all over the net.   I never have seen it but I am very curious

UPDATE WE WILL BE GETTING AN OFFICIAL RELEASE

AUDREY ROSE Frank De Felitta SHOULD Write a 2nd Follow up and MGM should Fast Track A remake

"Audrey Rose" is a chiller with a capital C.  The film was an adaption of a novel written by

Frank De Felitta.  The film did okay at the box office.  Audiences were most likely disappointed with the film.  This film came after "The Exorcist", "The Omen", and "Carrie"  and PG rated  film was not a blood bath as some people expected!

Now in 1990 the Original Book had a follow up called "For the Love of Audrey Rose" which was written by the original's author Frank De Felitta. It has now been 23 years since that book was released and a 3rd novel  should and could be made.  There is a cult of "Audrey Lovers" that would love to see the beloved Princess Rise Again.

THis brings me to think there should be a  re-make.  I think a TV Mini Series would be the best way to go.  A 3 Part Mini Series would be a Television Event. that would be perfect for HBO or TNT...

WHEN WILL FREDDY KRUGER RETURN TO ELM ST?

The remake was successful.  It made money.  It seems sad that Warner Brothers has retired Freddy!    Since Warner Brothers owns New Line Warner Brothers  Has Not Green lite any horror film.  Since  Warner Brothers doesn't seem to want to make horror films they should sell of New Line Cinema!   It would fit in nicely over at LIONS GATE

Cynthia Rhodes I miss her

Cynthia was someone that I adored!  She was in 1983's "Flashdance" and "Staying Alive".  Most people will rememebr her as Penny from "Dirty Dancing".  I loved her in all 3 films.  She was very good in all the films!  I hope one day she will return to Television or Films!

PETER JACKSON KING KONG WAS TOO LONG

This film was well made however it was too long of a film.  Had Peter Jackson trimmed the film down by 30-45 minutes he would of had a better film!  At 3 Hours its just too long.  Had the film been edited down he would of had a much better film that would of generated more revenue!

A great Thriller "The Dead Zone"

One of the best films to be adapted from a Steven King Novel.  This film is a must see.  Christopher Walken should of been nominated for an Academy Award for his work in this film!
