Released in 1988 "Friday the 13th Part Vii" had to undergo many edits in order to achieve an R Rating. The original negative of all the cut gore is allegedly lost forever but with a little looking around Paramount Film Vaults I am positive that all the cut footage can be found! If it can't be found it wouldn't cost that much to re-shot some of the footage. Most of it can be restored with CGI of the original negative is in fact lost!
In order to get this film restored we the fans needs to organised and pressure Paramount to restore the film. Yes this is not "Citizen Kane" however Jason and all the "Friday the 13th' films are just l as much as part of Hollywood History as "Kane". In fact I am sure Jason has made more money for Hollywood then "Kane".
I think if this film gets restored then maybe we could get a rematch between Tina and jason. It would be in the vein of "Halloween H20"
