This blog is going to go under a type of reinvention.  I will be focusing on (Primarily) on Christmas Theme Films and Music  If I do not like something what does it matter it is just my opinion.  People work hard on films.  I will try not try to  hurt  feelings.

Jim Nabors Yes I am fan Three Wise Men is Gold

I normally don't like male singers.  I much rather hear hear a woman.  This year however I discovered a song that just blew me away.


When I was kid we had the Christmas Records that were from GRANTS DEPARTMENT STORE.

 This is volume 3,   Now I don't remember listening to "Three Wise Men" when I was a kid but I remember most of the other songs.  (This was however over 30 years ago).  Now Grants went out of business in the 1970's and this record was never released on CD.  

Now this year I found a web page that sold the GRANTS record collection.  There was a total of 8. I had to buy this set,  When I got the set I put it on my CD player and listening to this music  brought back many wonderful memories.

Upon listening to the song "Three Wise Men" I was blown away.  I was moved.  I wanted to see who sang it.  I saw that it was Jim Nabors.  The song was wonderfully produced.       I must of listened to it 4 times in a row,   I hope everyone will listen to it  on the link I have  below!    I can't wait for Christmas time again!  That way I can listen to this again and  again.

DECK THE HALLS FILM REVIEW

If your having "After Holiday Blues" then I recommend this feature film from 2006.  Now this film is not as funny as "Christmas Vacation" and the ending scene is a pure rip off of "It's a Wonderful Life" however it still has some great laugh out loud moments.  This film is one of those that you should watch on a cold Winters Night.   Keep kids under 6 out of the room 

THE SECRET SANTA ON TLC FILM REVIEW

I have nothing to say but BRAVO to the makes of the Christmas film.  Now this IS NOT  groundbreaking but it delivers.  I loved this film.  It was will told.  The pace was swift.  Never boring and it makes you feel good. Its a great movie! When it comes on again watch it!

THOSE OLD CHRISTMAS RECORDS YOU REMEMBER CAN BE FOUND HERE

The older I am getting the more fondly I am remembering the Christmas of my childhood.  I grew up in the era before CD'S and Mp3 or digital downloads.  Today its hard to find a decent Christmas Collection.  For years I wanted to find the Christmas Albums I grew up with.  To me Christmas music should have the "snap crackle and pop noise" you hear before a song gets played. 

 There is something about vinyl records that has never been been duplicated on CD's or anywhere else.  To me its almost not Christmas until I hear these records.  Now its been years since I herd these records and now I found a web page that has them and I am looking forward to listening to them once again.  I already bought the Reader Digest Collection and I love it!  It brought tears of joy to hear that collection again.    

So now I am getting the Grants Christmas Collection.  Grants for a chain store that went bankrupt almost 40 years ago. However growing up in Oxnard CA  Grants was the place to go for Christmas stuff. From indoor/outdoor decorations to Christmas albums that were made exclusively for GRANTS.  Now these records were not done by "Unknown singers",   These recordings were done by real singers you herd of.  I am looking forward to these.  I have nothing but wonderful memories of these albums!  I am so glad I found this web-page.   here is the link

REBOOTING THIS YEAR 2014 SO FAR ITS BEEN VERY DIFFICULT SO I AM WATCHING CHRISTMAS MOVIES

This has been a very difficult year for me. I wanted to lift my spirits so I decided to extend my Christmas Holiday Season Starting today!  

See my dad and husband have been fighting cancer.  I can not be in 2 places at once. It is stressful.  I feel hopeless.  That is a depressing feeling,  Since this is an election year all that is on television are political adds.  CNN is a non stop scream machine.  I needed positive energy in my home.  So for some reason "Christmas" popped into my head so I decided to start watching Christmas programs.

Yes this is August but did you know Christmas is only a little over 100 days away. If your a child this seems like a long time however adults 100 days come and go fast.

Now I am determined to enjoy this & every Christmas season. So tonight I watched "The Spirit of Christmas". The "Spirit of Christmas" is Tv Special (from the 1950's) its a puppet show telling the story of "The Night Before Christmas: and "The Nativity Story" Watching these really did elevate my mood and put a smile in my heart.

Trust me watching something about "Christmas"(film or a cartoon) will lift your spirits and without side effects!  I think every night I will watch something that is related to "Christmas" until the end of the year!

I have plenty of things to choose from. I think next I will watch one of those "Feel good" Hallmark Christmas Movies".    

THE NIGHT THEY SAVE CHRISTMAS DVD 1984 CHARMING TV-MOVIE

Okay this is the 2nd Christmas theme film I have seen in 3 days. SO I am keeping up with my "starting my Christmas Season Early". I just finished watching for the first time a 1984 tv-movie called "The Night They Saved Christmas". For the limited budget of a tv-movie the film really delivers a few eye catching set pieces. The story is suitable for everyone. In a nutshell the film is about how construction and dynamite is threatening "Santa's Workshop and his way of life". (No its not an environmental theme). As we all know "Holiday theme: movies have a certain formula and this is no different however "Its Way Above Average" and it will be the perfect film to kick off your holiday viewing!
