SHORT CIRCUIT REMAKE BUT WHY NOT DIGBY THE BIGGEST DOG IN THE WORLD
Remakes in Hollywood today are a common as as sequels. Now I am not surprised there is a remake of the 1986 film "Short Circuit" coming. The original is very cute. The movie was not a huge hit however it did get the sequel treatment but the original cast (Ally Sheedy & Steve Guttenberg) were not in that and that movie "Short Circuit 2" was a box office bomb.
Now this got me to thinking why is it that nobody has thought of remaking "Dibgy The biggest Dog in the World"?
The original movie does have a minor following and the high concept is what Hollywood does today. In case you don't the story here it is "Digby consumes a bowl of Project X, a liquid growth formula. Soon, he becomes a sheepdog of gigantic size"!
The original doesn't hold up and the concept is worth exploring.
