ATTENTION Missing footage wanted from A STAR IS BORN JUDY GARLAND

"A Star is Born" is a great motion picture. However people under 40 hear the words "A Star is Born" they are not thinking about the Judy Garland Classic. If there thinking of any movie it would be The Barbra Streisand Version.

The Garland Version is a must see. Its not just for fans of musicals or of Judy Garlands. This is a movie that most people over 14 would enjoy.

Now "A Star is Born" was edited by the studio upon its National Release in 1954. It would not be until 1983 until a "Restored Version" was released to the public. It was a miracle that Restoration was even done! Warner Brother did not keep the 3hr Version. To make a long story short we can all thank Ronald Harver. This was his labor of love. He worked his ass off to find the missing footage from the movie. Warner Brothers threw out all the deleted footage so Ronald had his work cut out for him.

After a long period of time Ronald Harver was able to put back all but 5 minutes of the movie. The complete soundtrack was available but the footage wasn't.

Now the late George Cukor did not live to see his movie restored. However he did know Ronald was hard at work on it. George died the night before the movie re-premiered.

Now Ronald Harver has passed on as well. Judy Garland, James Mason, Jack Carson, Tommy Noonan, all of them are now gone.

As a tribute to all of them it would be great if we could get those missing 5 minutes. Most of that footage is with Judy Garland when she is at her Apartment. The Reunited Scene is also missing some footage.

If you know who might have this footage let me know. I just want a copy that I can pass on to Warner Brothers. I will not snitch.

This movie is a classic. If you have the footage please let me know. It would be sad that someone held on to the footage and not share it with the world. Could you imagine that if you have the footage you would be part of movie history.
If you have this footage please let me know at stan.heck@gmail.com
