Twin Peaks made is TV debut in 1990. The show lasted a total of 2 season for a total of 29 episodes.
A year after the show was cancelled David Lynch made "TP:FWWM". Rumor had it that the original cut was over 3 hours. When the movie was released it was just a little over 2 hours.
Now what was cut out is just specaution. Rumors again say it was mostly cameos from the cast of the TV show. Chances are however they were cut out for various reasons. I know lots of this footage that wa cut was unscripted material.
Now "Twin Peaks Fire walk Me" needs a special edition DVD release. Complete with deleted scenes. Twin Peaks is a classic TV show and the movie as well. The show has millions of fans and its base continues to grow. SO New Line pay the bucks to get the rights to release the deleted footage on DVD.
If New Line was smart they give the owners of the deleted $1 for each dvd that is sold for the first year. Then on the 2nd year of its release cut it to .75 cents. Then year 3 of its release .5o cents. 4th Year knock it down to just .25 cents.
Also New Line could produce a TV special about Twin Peaks. They could then debut a few of the deleted footage on that TV. This would get the fans excited and ready to buy.
