RENT THE 2005 Film

I loved this film.  I never the play so this was my entree into "Rent".  The film is a solid piece of Film making.
The score is great and the message is a universal one.  The film however deleted many of the songs from source material.

A few years later the final Broadway performance was filmed and released on Home Video and I was very happy to finally see a "LIVE PERFORMANCE" however the editing and filming of the live performance was poorly executed.  I don't fault the actors for that.  The next time someone wants to film a live performance then they should study "Rent" and see how they got it wrong!
