Why are the Academy Awards are boring? Well there is 25 awards to pass out! If your like me you don't give a shit on who wins for best costumes, editing, sound effects, score, set design, makeup, sound effects editing, documentary, short subject, short subject animation. There are a few more but these awards fall into the boring category!
The Academy needs to move these awards to a non-televised technical award shows. Just like TV does with the Emmy Awards.
Now the Academy needs to add (or in the case bring back) an award for best Child performance!
They could also add "Best New Comer Award"
The biggest adjustment the academy needs to make comedies a separate category. This way (maybe) for mainstream movies can be awarded and the audience for the TV show will get bigger! The Academy needs to change and change fast! I bet in a few more years "The Golden Globes" will have a bigger audience then the "Academy Awards".
