How to Fix the Annual Academy Awards

The Annual Academy Awards have come and gone. This year the Academy let "Ellen Degeneres" take a turn hosting. She was good not great. The worse host in recent memory has to be "Steve Martin". Now the award show is famous for being long & slow. The reason for that is that there is always so many clip segments. They need to cut that down to only 2. One of them should be the opening segment. The 2nd one should be the role call of the dead. Now here is what else that can be done to liven up this show.

1) Get rid of all the Awards that people don't care about. Have those awards given out at a non-televised event. If your like me you don't care about the following awards

a) Short subjects

b) Editing

c) Sound f/x

d) Sound f/x editing

e) Score

f) Cinema photography

g) Animation Short subject

h) Make Up

i) Best Original Song.

Now I would add more acting awards. Yes go the "Golden Globe" route and add a category for comedies. I would add these awards

A) Motion Picture Comedy

B) Best director Comedy

c) Actress

d) Actor

e) Actress Supporting

f) Actor Supporting

g) Screenplay Adaption

h) Screenplay original

AND MOST OF ALL

i) Best performance by a juvenile actor or actress

People want to see who wins in the Acting awards category's anyway.

If The Annual Academy Awards were to take make these changes the show would generated bigger ratings.
