DEAN CUNDEY IS SUPERVISING THE NEW HALLOWEEN TRANSFER FOR THE NEW BLU-RAY RELEASE

Trancas International Films, Compass International Pictures, and Halloweenmovies.com are proud to announce award winning cinematographer Dean Cundey is supervising the new high definition transfer of John Carpenter’s Halloween for the upcoming 35th Anniversary Blu-ray!

This is great news. The Blu-Ray release that I have does have a great picture transfer however its wasn't aproved  transfer by Dean Cundey.  The transfers lost the "blue" lighting and seem the daytime scenes were too bright.  I however did like the Blu-Ray but I thought the extras were "lacking"

Now above is a Blu-Ray case of the upcoming  Blu-Ray however its not an official  YET!   I got this off the net.    Now what I am very happy is that there is going to be an all new Audio Commentary with John Carpenter and Jamie Lee Curtis.  The one that we all have been listening too (THAT HAS JOHN CARPENTER JAMIE LEE CURTIS AND DEBRA HILL) was actually recorded 19 years ago for the Criterion Laserdisc Premiere!  It was the first time that "Halloween" was released on Home Video in the Widescreen Format.   At the time that LAserdisc release was a state of the art transfer! However the first DVD release of "Halloween" used this transfer but the results were poor and a new transfer was made.  For the first 2 DVD release of "Halloween" Anchor Bay did a great job.  They had a restored print and a new sound mix.  The results were great!  However later the scrapped that transfer and released an unapproved transfer that outraged fans and Dean Cunddey!

I am looking forward to this new release!  This is the first time in years we are getting something new!
Now if only Dimension would sell off the film rights and Let LIONS GATE" take over!
