Earthquake A great Bad Movie On Blu-ray But Universal screwed up

Earthquake was a huge hit in 1974.  When released to television Universal added about 30 minutes of NEW SCENES that was made just for TV.


Now that footage was shot a year after the film was released.  My question is why doesn't Universal release that footage as a bonus feature on a DVD or Blu--Ray.  There is an audience that would love to see that footage again...  Until Universal does release the footage people will have to get by with pirate dvds that can be found on the web if you look hard enough
