GREAT MOMENTS IN FILM SALLY FIELD IN STEEL MAGNOLIAS

The term "chick Flick " does not apply to this Classic film.   Yes its audience and fan base is primarily women however a real man will sit down and watch the film with his wife or girlfriend.   All gay men by the way love this film and most likely own it on DVD.

(Spoilers)  Sally Field has I think the best scene in the film that takes place in the graveyard.   Her reaction and her feelings in this scene ring true and you you find yourself agreeing with everything she screams out.  

Ignored by the Academy the film still however is still one of the most successful films of the 1980's.  The DVD still continues to sell and the film has become a must see on "Mother's Day" tradition on many households.  Maybe  Lifetime should have a 24 hours of "Steel Magnolias". It would be a hit. .
