"Silence of the Lambs" was a huge hit when it was released in 1991. Jodie Foster played FBI AGENT Clarice Starling and won an Academy Award however the producers first choice for Clarice wasn't Jodie Foster their choice was
Michelle Pfeiffer. Orion Pictures offered to pay Michelle $1,000,000 to star in the film however she wanted $2,000,000. Orion might have paid her that however they were in financial trouble long before "Silence" began principle photography. What Foster was paid is unknown to me however had Michelle landed the role it would of reunited her with Jonathan Demme who directed her in "Married to the Mob".
I wonder if Michelle has any regrets about losing the role of Clarice?
