Sweet Dreams is no Coal Miners Daughter but still well worth watching

I am sure the only reason "Sweet Dreams" was made was because of the fact "Coal Miners Daughter" was a huge hit.

Jessica Lange does a great job playing Patsy Cline  in this film.  She was nominated for an Academy Award for her work in this film.  This film was made by the same producer who made "Coal Miner's Daughter".  What I don't understand why he didn't insist the Beverly D'Angelo get to reprise her role as Patsy Cline.

It also would of been nice had  Sissy Spacek had a Cameo.  Anybody who saw "Coal Miners Daughter" would be  expected to see "Loretta Lynn" somewhere in this film.  Because they ignored "Loretta Lynn" it left a huge whole in this film.   If Sissy Spacek only had a walk-on it would made a huge difference.
