HALLOWEEN THE JOHN CARPENTER FILM THAT DESERVES TO BE CALLED A CLASSIC

People seem to turn their collective noses up when you say "Halloween" is classic.  For the cinema snobs (both young and old) they consider "Halloween" a "Slasher Film"  and give the film no respect.

Now "Halloween" did inspire and ignite the "slasher films" however John Carpenter and Debra Hill were great filmmakers and this film is still very scary and when you watch the film you will see "Halloween" has less blood  then average CSI episode.

I think why people dismiss this film  is the fact there have been countless "Slasher sequels" to "Halloween" and a "Slasher Style" Remake.  All of which were directed by people who were less talented then John Carpenter.  What is very funny is that there were 3 sequels to "JAWS" but somehow that film escapes the shadows of its dreadful sequels.  "Halloween" however can not escape the shadows of its imitators and sequels.

In 2007 there was a remake produced.  It was terrible! It was Written and Directed By Rob Zombie. After watching that film I thought things can get worse-well I was wrong!  In 2009 there was a sequel to that film.. That sequel  was the worse "Halloween Film" ever made.
