THE CARPENTERS RICHARD AND KAREN STORY WOULD MAKE A GREAT BROADWAY MUSICAL

I have said this before but I would love too see The Carpenters Story become a BRoadway Musical. ThEIR story just screams to be adapted to the stage. Conflicts of mother/daughter/ Conflict of Brother/sister. Show business Values/Real Values. Staying in the NEst Too Long. MArriage vs Careers.

Who are your real friends and who isn't. Family's dealing with addictions and disorders. Public Image VS Reality?.

Classic Carpenter's  songs can be worked into the book of the show. Richard could also write new music. I would get Don Black to write the book. 

A musical would introduce the Carpenters to a new generation.
