MOVIE VOMIT ARMAGEDDON

In 1998 there were 2 film being release within weeks of one another.  "Deep Impact" and "Armageddon" but with hits at the box office but both were had nothing to brag about.  However "Armageddon" had to be the worse film ever made to gross over $200,000,000.

When I sat through  2 1/2 hour mess U kept shaking me head wondering why was this film popular?  The acting was bad.  The casting was bad. The screenplay was bad.  The closing song was bad in the way it was performed. I am not an "Arrowsmith" fan but I am a fan of Diane Warren.  I think I would song liked the song better had it been performed by  a solo artist.

Now lets get to the casting.  This film was nail one Ben Afleck acting career.  He had just came off of a Oscar win for writing "Good Will Hunting" but in this film he is cast as an oil rigger who looks like who just walked out of a health spa.  In other words he looked to pretty to be an oil rigger.

With the minor exception of  Bruce Willis the entire cast doesn't act they just mug for the camera.  what is also hard to buy in this stupid film is that AMERICA would send these people up into orbit in order to save the world.  Stupid.

A week or so I after I saw this film there was a book signing of the screenplay.  Both Michael bay and Jerry Bruckheimer (The Big Time Movie Producer)..  were there.  There was a line inside the bookstore.  When I asked what it was for I laughed and said as loud as I could  (just so Jerry and Michael Bay herd me) "I saw Armageddon Please there was no screenplay" The store employee laughed but when Michael bay looked at me ...  All I can say is if "Looks could Kill"..

In the passing years I have found it funny how major tv shows (by making jokes) have finally caught on to what I said in 1998.  "Michael Bay Makes Crappy Movies"...

It has been 15 years now.  The Only Movies released that Summer of 1998 that people still would buy is "Saving Private Ryan" and "There is Something About Mary".  Look at your local Target or Walmart chances are you would find both of these titles there.  Good Luck trying to find  " Armageddon"
