Kelsey Smith RIP HER FAMILY'S NIGHTMARE HAS ONLY STARTED

The death of Kelsey Smith brings back my own nightmare of losing someone to murder. The date the Kelsey went missing will be burnt into the minds of her friends and family forever.

This death will haunt them forever. There life & family history will now consist of before Kelsey died and after.

Now they say "time heals all wounds" well it doesn't. You adjust! You move on the best you can but its always in the back of your mind! Everyday! The holidays roll around you always have the "What ifs" in the back of your mind.

For privacy reasons I will not say who I know was murdered. However when someone is killed it effects lots of people. From parents to grandparents. To friends -to girlfriends & boyfriends. Teachers & coach's. A church pastor to members of the congregation.

When this person I know was killed it effected me. I was almost 12. I was very innocent. I never knew anybody that died! I had one grandparent who died when I was 2 but my other grandparents at that time were alive and well.

The person who was killed his parents later divorced (after 20+ years). His grandmother died a short time later from a broken heart. The victims struggle continue to this day.

Now this Kelsey family and their grief has only started. There will be daily struggles. There will come a time when they wake in the morning to think" it was just a dream" but that moment goes away in about 3 seconds. The days will go in slow motion. They will become numb and nothing will seem real. Unfortunately it is real.

When the trial comes they will not get any rest. Then the trial becomes another nightmare.

Then there will come a time her parents will think "what will we do with her room" "her stuff". This is things that they never talk about in the news! I bet her family will leave her room as it is for years to come. If its a mess they might just leave it. This is sad because that is all they have left of her! Can you blame them?
