In 3 short years the Original "PSYCHO" will be 50 years old. I think the time is now to star bugging Universal Studios about a SPECIAL Edition BOX set of all 6 "PSYCHO RELATED' movies.
On August 14 Universal is releasing a 3 dvd set of "PSYCHO II - IV". This will be the debut of "PSYCHO IV" on DVD. However "PSYCHO II" & "PSYCHO III" this is the 3rd time they are being released on DVD. Whats pisses me off about that this is 3rd time there being released without any extras. There is plenty of stuff available for Universal to put on a DVD.
Now we all want whats on most special editions dvds. However what I want is a long forgotten interview Anthony Perkins did on Entertainment Tonight when Psycho II was announced. This interview was around Oct/Nov of 1981. In the interview he thought "Hitchcock" would approve of the sequel. I would also like to see on "Psycho III" the original cut that Anthony Perkins did. AS for "Bates Motel" trust me when I say its bad. However in 3 years will be the 50th Anniversary of "PSYCHO". I think Universal should release a DVD BOX SET of the PSYCHO MOVIES (including Bates Motel and the 1998 Remake). That would be 6 movies. Also in the set I would include the Anthony Perkins sketch from Saturday Night Live. He did a sketch called "Hotel Management".
