I think it would be great if Ron Howard and Tom Hanks did a follow film that takes place up 30 years later. In the film he and his wife "Madison" are now a cross roads when their Adult Children are now ts "seeking" life outside the Ocean. They runaway to the DRYLAND and Mom & DAD are off to rescue!
When they (TOM HANKS AND DARYL HANNAH) do find their children they see that they are in love with the Human Life and they are also in love with humans. After a brief dispute they all return to the ocean for a short time but later all the Humans return to the Dryland. It has themes similar to the "Little Mermaid" however at the end none of the humans and mermaids are together!
