Watching this show I can see why it did not catch on. There is nobody to root for. We have a stupid DJ and a grown ass man who refuses to work for a steady paycheck so he can just play his "Bone". Needless to say this bum has more then one child and another on the way. What is not said is in real life this children will most likely to end up in poverty. "Treme" never addressed the "BUM DAD" factor. Then again maybe the creator of the show is a worthless dad or had a worthless dad.
They filmed a few things on this show in my neighborhood in the UPTOWN section of New Orleans. Are action did suffer that much from Katrina however most of us had to repair are houses!
What they didn't show on "Treme" was the few hard working people that did the majority of the rebuilding work in New Orleans! Most peple sat on their ass collecting checks!
