One of the Best Actors we have in America is Mare Winningham

Mare has been a working actor for years.  I don't think she could ever be accused of giving the same performance twice in 2 different projects.  She is brilliant.  

I first took notice of her when she played the daughter from hell in "The Thorn Birds".  A few years later she played someone completely different in the 1985  film "St Elmo's Fire".  She made a "wallflower" role into something very special and very endearing.     

I am always glad to see anything she is in.  She is always great.
