"POCAHONTAS" HAD BAD TIMING HOWEVER IT STILL HAS A GREAT SCORE

Disney Animation started its ANimation Comeback in 1988 with the huge success of "Who Framed Roger Rabbit".  IN 1989 The Studio released a very successful "The Little Mermaid".   In 1991 "Beauty and the Beast" was a bigger hit and it was  first time an animated film was ever nominated for the Best Picture   category for Academy Awards!   Just a year later in 1992 "Aladdin was released and it was asmash as well! Then in 1994 "The Lion King" broke every box office record for an animated film and went on to become the most beloved "DISNEY FILM" prouced in the post Walt Disney era.

In 1995 the Disney Company released the film "Pocahontas" which was a year after the record breaking smash success the studio had with  "The Lion King"  and comparisons  were naturally going to be made about how "Pocahontas" compares to all the  other Disney Animated films and in short "Pocahontas" failed.  It took in 1/2 the amount the "The Lion King" but the film itself seem to only 1/2 as good.  What did save the film from boredom  was the amazing score.

The problem with "Pocahontas" was the fact was the story was not fully fleshed out.  Also this film seem to have not much of a heart.  The film I think could of benefited if the creators had about another year to fix the film.  The film seems to have been rushed out which hurt the final edit!

I think if you buy the film your non-talking kids will enjoy it anybody of 3 will fall asleep.
